Acne in women

Hormonal levels in women are known to oscillate more than hormonal levels in men. This goes to explain why the condition is more erratic in women than in men. While more than half of all adult women see the occasional occurrence of acne, at least sixty percent of women go through acne treatmentbreak outs during the premenstrual stage. A woman could experience acne throughout her adult life, starting from childhood and going on until menopause. The frequency at which acne occurs in women does vary from person to person. Natural acne treatmentsthat occurs during the premenstrual stage can be attributed to androgens that are over stimulated. Androgens are responsible for the stimulation of oil glands present in the skin. In the pre menstrual stage, these glands which produce oil can start working overtime. Women can also experience acne throughout the month, the reason for which has not been understood yet. While acne due to hormonal activity can be quite irritating, acne treatmentto control the condition can be sought. In cases of acne break outs during pregnancy, it generally happens in the early stages of pregnancy. The skin, later on in pregnancy, tends to clear up. The condition can then return some months after child birth, the reason for which hasn’t been confirmed (though this too can be attributed to change in hormonal activity). It is pertinent that while following acne treatment during pregnancy, it be done in consultation with a trained medical professional. Puberty Acne treatment for women includes the general treatments for acne. For a large number of women, topical applications can do the trick. For hormonal specific break outs, women in consultation with doctors can get on a course of particular birth control pills. Natural acne treatments that can prevent new acne from forming are in place and these include a variety of products and procedures being used.
